Ssemwanga Fresh Logistics (SFL) offers to fresh food retailers, exporters and consumers the most cost effective, and convenient  post harvest handling alternatives. It's service centre opened outside Kampala in 2005 and collects, sorts, grades, packs, stores and distributes fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the Eastern African region.  SFL's cold storage is designed to offer capability to store produce at various temperatures.  SFL imports and export fresh produce.

At the same site, SFL will house a laboratory to analyze microbial and toxin contamination of, and to conduct storage trials for fresh produce
